Sample Processing

This department interfaces the nursing/phlebotomy department with analytical laboratory.

Samples not collected in the main lab are delivered by our own courier services for sorting. Personnel in registration/specimen processing gather these specimens and log them into the DML computer system, labels are generated and specimens are distributed to the appropriate laboratory section for testing. Referred out tests are also sorted for shipping to contracted referral laboratories. Specimens are properly packaged and sent via courier.
